HOW TO CLEAN  SAW BLADES

Cleaning your saw blades is one of the secrets to prolonging the life of your power tools.

Dirty blades will increase friction and stress the saw’s motor (or your arm, if it’s a handsaw) because it has to work harder to make the cut.

Before you soak the blade, try to remove any obvious debris.

Soak your blade in solution for about 5-10 minutes.

While the blade is still in the tray, scrub the teeth with a toothbrush.

Rinse and dry your saw blade.

Apply a rust inhibitor if your cleaning solution doesn't have one built in.

Applying lubricant to the blade is optional, but will prolong the life of the blade between sharpenings.
